I am the founder of Balance Geek, a space created to support Latina women over 40 who feel like they are doing “everything right” and yet still live with inflammation, fat accumulation, low energy, sugar cravings, and frustration with their bodies. 

 

For years, I also did “everything right.” I ate healthy, exercised, sought out “fit” options, and tried plans, products, and recommendations that were supposed to work. And yet I still felt inflamed, tired, and disconnected from my body. That contrast—putting in so much effort and not seeing sustainable results—was the turning point that led me to dig deeper, study, and change my approach: to stop chasing quick fixes and start building a lifestyle that really worked.

That's how Balance Geek and the ABC™ Model were born, my clear and practical way of organizing what really brings about change when a woman wants to feel comfortable in her body again.​

My job isn't about giving you a list of “do this” and making you feel guilty if you don't comply. It's about helping you understand what's sabotaging you and implementing new strategies based on your goals. Because knowing what to do isn't the same as being able to stick to it when you have family, work, fatigue, cravings, travel, events, and a thousand decisions to make every day. I work with women who want real results: less inflammation, more energy, more mental clarity, better digestion, a better relationship with food, and a stronger body. Women who are tired of starting from scratch, of living with restrictions, and of feeling that “something is wrong” with them. There is nothing wrong with you. What is usually out of alignment is the system.


After 40, your body no longer responds the same way it used to, and you want to educate yourself to take control of your health. And that is precisely the heart of Balance Geek: to educate, apply, and execute with leadership in a practical, discerning, and sustainable way.

Since my family and I moved to the United States in 2012, health has become a non-negotiable necessity for me, as I am a wife and mother of two sons.  In this country, I learned, through necessity and with love, that health is not built on restriction, but on repeatable decisions in real life: what you buy, what you cook, how you sleep, how you manage stress, and how you talk to yourself when something doesn't go as expected.

 

I am a psychologist trained in Colombia, a National Board Certified Health & Wellness Coach (NBC-HWC), a Functional Medicine Certified Health Coach (FMCHC), and a Certified Nutrition Coach.
